  • Replacement LP Gas Detector Recommendation For Older Protechtor 2001 Series LP Gas Detector
  • I wasn't able to find the Atwood 36720 RV Propane Gas Detector you mention, however I was still able to find the RV Propane Gas Detector # RS64FR in white, or # RS44FR in black to work as a replacement for your Protechtor Series 2001 LP Gas Detector. This replacement will work with virtually any alarm, so it is likely to work with yours as well, and features the same two wire design as your current Protechtor Series 2001.

  • Mounting Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide and Propane Gas Detector
  • The trim ring is not available, but the Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide and Propane Gas Detector # AT36681 can be mounted quite simply without it. I attached a page from the directions which shows how this is done; you simply remove the bezel from the detector, place the detector in the pre-cut hole and secure it with screws, then snap the bezel back on the detector. The other picture is from a customer showing how the unit looks when installed.

  • Recommended Replacement For A ProTECHtor GS961LP-RV Gas Detector
  • The Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide and Propane Gas Detector # AT36681 is going to be the closest replacement to your ProTECHtor GS961LP-RV. • Best Replacement for Atwood RV Propane Gas Detector 31013
  • The RV Propane Gas Detector part # RS64FR is what I recommend using to replace the the Atwood RV Propane Gas Detector part 31013 (Discontinued). The mounting plate for this new detector will cover up any holes you had for the previous so it will be a super clean install when finished. You'd just need to use some butt connector like part # DW05744-5 to attach the wires and you're good. We don't carry any parts with the product number 31014 unfortunately.

  • Recommended Replacement For A 2015 Heartland Cyclone 4200 RV LP Gas Detector
  • The only other option we currently have besides the # RS34FR you referenced would be the Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide and Propane Gas Detector # AT36681 which would require you to enlarge the cutout hole to 3-9/16" long x 3-7/16" wide for fitment.

  • Troubleshooting An LP RV Refrigerator That Wont Turn On
  • Since the fridge is not working and your LP gas detector is showing a red light you most likely had a gas leak and that caused your refrigerator to shut down and will need to be reset. The Atwood Protechtor Series 2001 is only going to alert you that there is a gas leak and will not cut the gas off. I recommend checking for the source of the gas leak and then resetting your fridge and and gas detector.

  • Can The 2-Wire RV Propane Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detector # RS34FR Be Mounted Vertically
  • The 2-Wire RV Propane Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detector - 12 Volt - White # RS34FR can be mounted vertically if needed but most importantly should be installed no more than 18" from the floor so that it can accurately detect the amount of gas in your RV. Do not mount this detector within 12" of any opening windows, exterior doors, fans, vents, or areas with a draft. To continue, do not mount on exterior walls, within 24" of any cooking appliances, behind furniture or any areas that would...

  • Recommended Replacement For An Atwood Propane Gas Detector 31013

  • Replacement Options For An Atwood 33636E Propane Gas Detector
  • Atwood propane detectors have been on and off available since the Atwood brand was bought out and slowly killed off by Dometic so you'd be hard pressed to find one at this point. We currently only offer the RV Safe brand which has either just propane gas detection or models with propane gas and carbon monoxide detection. Each of these come with trim plates that are a surface mount design to cover up any gaps left behind by the old unit. The small trim measures 5-3/4" long x 4-1/4" wide...

  • Should I Replace My 9 Year Old First Alert Carbon Monoxide Smoke Detector
  • According to First Alert, smoke alarms should be replaced 10 years from the date of manufacture. If your unit was manufactured 9 years ago, you will still have one year of use left before you would have to replace it. We do have carbon monoxide detectors, such as the Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide and Propane Gas Detector - 12 Volt - White, part # AT36681. It also detects propane gas. Unfortunately we do not carry smoke detectors. I have included a product description link below.

  • Why Would The Atwood AT36681 Be Recommended Over The GS961LP-RV
  • Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide and Propane Gas Detectors are typically pretty hard to come by now with availability typically fluctuating pretty rapidly. The Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide and Propane Gas Detector # AT36681, for example, sells out pretty rapidly and isn't always easy to get back in stock so it was most likely the only option available at the time for the question/answer page that you were looking at. For reference that answer page was from 2017.

  • Amp Draw vs Battery Life for the RV Propane Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detector
  • The RV Propane Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detector # RS34FR has a current draw of 17 mA at 13.5V so you just need to determine how many amp hours your battery bank can hold compared to the current draw to determine this. The 17 mA is going to be pretty miniscule especially if this detector is the only thing drawing power from the battery bank. With that being said, if your RV will be sitting for long periods of time then it's never a bad idea to add a small trickle charge solar panel kit...

  • Recommended Replacement Carbon Monoxide And Propane Detector
  • We offer the RV Propane Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detector - Black # RS54FR or # RS34FR for white. I wasn't able to find your CLO134504 carbon monoxide detector to determine if it was 2-wire or 3-wire so you will need to unscrew your current detector from the wall to see how many wires it has. If it is 3-wire then we unfortunately at this time do not have an option available but you should be able to find one with your local RV dealer.
